South Evans Cemetery
This cemetery is located in Lincoln Township; S18-T62N-R23W. It is in South Evans church yard, well tended, with a burial chart of the cemetery in the hands of a cemetery committee. This committee is active and is taking excellent care of the grounds. The church is Christian, and the history is also in the hands of the committee (as of 1964 at which time this information was gathered by Mrs. Delbert Hesler).
1999 update - No services have been held at the church for several years, but it still stands. Mr. Robert Blew donated a chain link fence around the sides of the cemetery, and the old gate still stands in the center front. Mr. Doyle Ricketts painted the gate and has provided a significant update to these records in 1999.
2000 update - The church building was completely destroyed by fire.
2002 update - With the help of donations & volunteer help, the church has been rebuilt on the previous site with Dedication services and regular services beginning in September 2002.
